This year [2023] marks the 750th anniversary of Rumi’s death, known as his Nuptial Night, the completion of his life’s journey in love, from love and to love.
At Chisholme this year we have been exploring together the connection between Rumi’s own invitation to transformation through Love and our present global circumstances.
This enquiry began with a conversation over three five-day periods in January, February and March followed by further weekends during June, July and August leading up to the Gathering at Chisholme, September 2–4, under the heading – ‘A field where we can meet.’
It is proposed that this conversation continue on specific weekends for the rest of the year ending with Rumi’s Nuptial Night on Sunday 17 December.
The dates for these can be found below.
We hope that you can come to some or all of these.
November 25/26
December 16/17
To attend and for further details, please email secretary@chisholme.org
The cost of your stay will be pay-as-you-can.
Read more here about the earlier conversations.

Love and Knowledge in the Light of Unity | the Direct Path
Beshara Trust Foundation Blended Learning Course
16th October 2026 – 18 March 2027
We take great pleasure in presenting the latest iteration following two very successful previous versions. The course comprises fortnightly Zoom sessions, videos by experienced presenters and various tasks and practices. It opens with a residential weekend at Sutton Courtenay Abbey in Oxfordshire UK, which can also be attended online. There is an optional residential weekend or 10 days at Chisholme House, Scotland, at the end of the course from the 1st April.
The course provides a full introduction to the principles of Beshara in terms of both knowledge and practice. Taking the metaphysics of Muhyiddin Ibn ‘Arabi as a starting point, the course explores what it means to understand oneself and the world in the light of the Unity of Existence.
