An invitation
We hope that you will be able to join us at Chisholme for Khidr’s Day, on Wednesday May 6th.
Khidr’s Day is a celebration of greening, both a welcoming of the spring and to give gratitude for the possibility of 'revivification through knowledge' that Khidr represents. Indeed, the school at Chisholme owes its very existence to the latter.
We are inviting you to spend the day at Chisholme, beginning with mid-morning coffee at 10.15.
At 11.00 there will be the launch of the summer programme in the Mead Hall, with conversation, followed by lunch at 1.00pm.
After lunch, weather permitting, there will be a walk around the garden and estate, guided for those who wish, to admire what nature is doing for itself, and all the wonderful work that’s taken place over the winter and early spring by the garden and forestry team.
Zikr will be in the Mead Hall at 9.00pm.
Please let the Secretary know if you will be coming, for all or part of the day, and particularly if you would like to join us for lunch and/or supper.
