Visiting Chisholme

Chisholme is a place that attracts creative, introspective, artistic, thoughtful, open-minded, curious and adventurous souls from across the world ...
Lindsey, volunteer and Film Major from Whitman College, Western Australia

Chisholme is here for those who seek to know themselves essentially and come to understand the reality of the world in which they live.

Spring and Summer 2023
Chisholme is open, but please contact the secretary by email before visiting.

During the summer months there is an ongoing programme of group study, meditation and conversational enquiry, where you can get a taste of what the education here can offer.

The house and its surrounding wild woods and moorland are glorious, so this is a wonderful time to be here in contemplation. The paths and woodland areas of the Estate are open at all times to visitors and walkers.

Autumn and Winter
This is the time for the longer, intensive Discovering Unity retreats. These have their own order and conditions and so the programme of the School adjusts accordingly. Visitors who come during the winter months are asked to respect the requirements of these courses.

It was for me a very happy return after three years and I hope to be back much sooner. There is a light, welcoming attentive air to the place which is good to be in.

Thank you for enfolding me within the beautiful, harmonious beehive of Chisholme…and I am already drawn to return.
